Description
These patented covers for harmonic balancers offer a range of benefits. They improve the visibility of the timing marks, make the Top Dead Center indication more stable and accurate, enhance the appearance of the previously neglected underhood area, and eliminate the need for timing tapes that tend to come loose. The covers are available in both chrome and black, giving them the look of much more expensive balancers that can cost up to $200. Each cover is uniquely marked with the Top Dead Center and proper timing degrees. By using this cover, the timing accuracy is improved since the etched outer inertia ring of a typical harmonic balancer can slip over time in relation to the center hub, causing the markings to give an incorrect indication of Top Dead Center for the #1 piston. The cover is mounted directly through the center hub, eliminating the impact of any outer inertia ring slippage. The covers are made from aluminum.
