Description
This Comp Cams 11-422-8 BBC Xtreme Energy Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshaft fits the 396-454 Big Block Chevy from 1967-1996. Comp designed this cam for performance application, and it features great mid-range torque and a rough idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio and a 2000+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.

- Must use bronze tip fuel pump pushrod when using high pressure or high-volume pump
- Stock (O.E.) valve springs can NOT be used.

Notes: The 1965-66 396 has an oiling groove in the rear journal. This cam does not, so if you require the oiling groove, please contact us for a special order.
