Description
This Edelbrock 7162 BBC Performer RPM Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft fits 396-427-454 cubic inch Big Block Chevy engines from 1957-1986. Edelbrock designed this cam for street performance use, and it features great low-end torque as well as a smooth idle.
This camshaft kit produces 540 horsepower and 530 ft-lbs. of torque when matched with Edelbrock’s 7163 intake manifold and 60559 cylinder heads on a 454 engine! A 9.0:1+ compression ratio, lower rear end gears and a 1900+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
