Howards Cams designed these 91718 Direct Lube Extreme Duty Mechanical Flat Tappet Lifters for AMC and Mopar V8 engines. A precision EDM laser-burned .021” hole in the center of the lifter face provides constant oil supply to the cam lobe. This allows for higher valve spring pressures, more aggressive profiles and reduced lobe wear.
