MSD designed this 8406 Distributor Cap and Rotor Kit for GM HEI External Coil distributors from 1987-1995. Manufactured from injection molded high-quality and voltage insulating Rynite, they also come with brass terminals that resist carbon tracking.
The cap and rotor of any ignition system must be considered maintenance items. Just as you change the oil and filter of your car, you should always replace the cap and rotor as a set. To make things easy, MSD now offers this cap and rotor as a replacement kit!
